A wide variety of leisure interests are close by or within easy reach of Casa Rosa. We have tried to give a variety of examples below.

Beaches: The nearest is Carvoeiro which is only 5 minutes drive from the house, but there are numerous large and small golden sandy beaches stretching the whole length of the Algarve, all within easy reach of casa Rosa.

Watersports & sailing: snorkling, scuba diving, surfing, windsurfing, waterskiing, sailing (ranging from dinghy to yacht hire)

Golf: Cas Rosa is the perfect base for golf enthusiasts. There are 2 golf courses within 1 minute drive & 7 courses within 20 minutes drive, and numerous more a little further afield.

Tennis: In nearby Carvoeiro there is a tennis club where you can hire raquets and courts, and also have lessons with professional coaches.

Waterparks: The Algarve has 5 waterparks, the nearest being Slide and Splash which is 2 mins from the villa.

Zoo's & leisure parks:
Zoomarine - within 15 minutes from the villa. This is a large water park with dolphin, seal, sealion, birds of prey and parrot shows, indoor aquarium, pools, rides and restaurants. For a special treat, you can book to swim with the dolphins. It is recommended to do this as early as possible prior to your holiday, as places are limited. Parque Zoologico - located at Lagos, has more than 50 species of animals.

Karting: big go-karts at Almancil.

Ten-pin-bowling: 20 minutes drive away at Guia in the Shopping mall (Algarve Shopping)

Cinemas: cinemas can be found in nearby Portimao and Guia, showing new realeases in English as well as Portuguese.

Horse riding: Several stables in the Algarve catering for all riding abilities.

Walking: There are several pleasant coastal walks, or 30 minutes drive inland takes you into the undulating countryside, and the Monchique 'mountain' region where the town is a centre of handicrafts.
